  शिवाजी विद्यापीठ कोल्हापूरच्या बायोटेक्नॉलॉजी विभागामार्फत क्रिस्पर २०२५  (CRISPR 2025) ही स्पर्धा घेण्यात आली. त्यामध्ये प्रथमच आपल्या महाविद्यालयातील वनस्पतीशास्त्र विभागाचे विद्यार्थी व प्राध्यापक सहभागी झाले होते. यामध्ये कु. सोनाली वसंत साळवी,  B.Sc.II या विद्यार्थिनीला  मॉडेल मेकिंग या प्रकारामध्ये पाचवा क्रमांक प्राप्त झाला. तिला प्रा.समीर घोडके आणि प्रा.डॉ.क्रांती पाटील यांचे मार्गदर्शन मिळाले. तसेच वनस्पतीशास्त्र विभागप्रमुख प्रा.डॉ. एस. एस. पाटील आणि प्राचार्य डॉ. एस. डी. पाटील यांचे प्रोत्साहन मिळाले. यामध्ये खालील विद्यार्थिनींनी सहभाग नोंदवला १. कु. सोनाली वसंत साळवी, B.Sc.II  २. कु. साक्षी चंद्रकांत पाटील, B.Sc.II  ३. कु. अदिती कुलकर्णी, B.Sc.I
